ISO/IEC 21031:2024 - Software Carbon Intensity (SCI) Specification
Contributed to the Software Carbon Intensity specification through the Green Software Foundation, which was adopted as an international ISO standard in 2024. Defines a methodology for scoring the carbon intensity of software applications.
OpenUK - EV Charging Blueprint
Open technology blueprint for electric vehicle charging infrastructure, presented at State of Open Con 2023. Applied sustainability measurement principles to real-world energy infrastructure.
OpenUK - Patchwork Kilt Data Centre Blueprints
Led open technology blueprints for carbon-negative data centres through OpenUK, which became a collaboration with the United Nations Office of ICT (UN-OICT). Produced open source blueprints for sustainable data centre design.
Green Software Foundation - Open Source Working Group
Co-chaired the Open Source Working Group (with Dan Lewis-Toakley), governing the foundation's open source strategy, including the Carbon Aware SDK and carbon tooling for CI/CD pipelines.
